Using THE RIGHT hashtags for your posts can get you some serious attention. It is easier to be discovered by people that don’t know you. People usually search hashtags for inspiration or to find a certain type of page. To help your post look cleaner, try using hashtags as your first comment immediately after you post your picture instead of having them in the caption of the picture. Instagram allows you to use 30 hashtags per photo. Use them all!!! That gives you a better chance to pop up in someone’s hashtags search. I have also learned that it is best to use hashtags that have 50k posts (and below), because it is not as populated and it will allow you to be more visible instead of getting overcrowded by the hashtags with 1 million other similar posts. Make sure the hashtags are in your niche. If it’s not relevant to your post and theme, don’t use it! Also make sure you copy and paste the 30 hashtags you are going to use within the first few seconds of your post. As soon as you post your photo, immediately paste your hashtags into your comments, then watch the likes start rolling in. If you wait to long too post your hashtags after you’ve posted your photo, the timestamp of your photo is going to have your photo pushed down by newer posted photos by other users. That’s why it’s important to post your tags immediately after you post. Trust me on this one.
Having hashtags already preplanned for each type of post makes Instagram life so much easier. I started my own hashtag document because I found that when I try to type in hashtags as I post becomes way to time consuming. It is much quicker and efficient to just copy and paste them.
