Friend,

A few blog posts ago, I revealed that I took my first step and crucified the dreamer within myself. I took a leap of faith and started this blog. I have to be honest, I sometimes struggle with consistency. My mind knows what I want to START doing, but sometimes executing my thoughts and plans don’t happen as I intended. Usually, life just…… happens. I usually think to myself, “I’ll be fine if I skip this just this one night.” But then the next night and the next night I’m still thinking the same thing, and before you know it, my initial intentions are just a far, distant….. DREAM!

KEEP IT SIMPLE

We must be intentional in order to succeed in our aspirations. I’ve found that it’s best to not overwhelm yourself with long lists of tasks, but to instead keep your tasks that helps you accomplish your goals simple. For instance, as far with my blog, I’ve set a daily reminder which is usually after I put my son to bed, to work on my business. This reminder is set for me to work on my blog for at least 15 minutes per night. Sometimes, if I have the willpower, I’ll go for 30 minutes to an hour. I’ve learned that I don’t get as overwhelmed, when I spread tasks out over time, instead of trying to cram large tasks and deplete myself. If I’m not working on making a blog post, I’m editing my website design, learning the software, reading tips on how to be a better blogger, making checklists of things I would like to accomplish, getting inspired by viewing different blog sites, the list goes on. Friend, knowledge is power. It’s right at our fingertips and it’s usually FREE! We must choose to intentionally doing things that will improve our ways of life.

SPREAD THE WORD

When it comes to expanding your growth, it’s best to tell people about what you are pushing. Word of mouth is by far one of the best methods in expansion. The key is to see the value in what you I’m are offering, and let others in on why they should buy-in. If this overwhelms you, start small with your own circle. This is what I chose to do. Little by little, I have been talking to people within my circle, and telling them that I have started a blog. To my surprise, they have given me so much insight, encouragement, knowledge, and even connects that could aid me in my growth. The power of opening your mouth is real!!

Hopefully, this inspired and encouraged you to start small, or at least START. Feel free to comment or contact me with your journey of starting!
