I’m going to allow God to lead us into this message. He leads, and we follow. Are you ready for the blueprint of this topic, Queen? Listen to this rhema word from your royal Abba Father…
“Peace I give unto you, my daughter, and patience is what you should carry with you all the days of your life. I am going to prepare a place for you. There is much that you must endure in order to inherit the place prepared for you. Only kingdom minded people will dwell in my palace. Guard your heart, seek my face, endure to the end. Prepare your heart for what’s to come. I will guide you every step of the way. I need you to trust me and endure persecution, because it is coming. Those who truly believe, will inherit the kingdom. Now go and be fruitful upon the earth.”
Wow, what a word!!! I love that for us!! Don’t you?… So, let’s break this down sis, we have a lot to cover.
Patience is mentioned 70 times in the Bible (and maybe more). Why? Because it’s important. I want you to know that this entire devotional series was completely inspired by God. In fact, this is one of the few times in my life where I actually listened for God’s leading every step of the way. I literally asked Him for each topic, which platform it should be on, timeframes, context that needed to be discussed, and so much more. If it’s within this devotional, God has a specific intention for you.
God has been working heavily with me on being more specific with my ministry. At first I thought it was the general public that I was called to lead, but He has been teaching me that women are not called to lead men. Women are called to lead women and in some cases children (1 Timothy 2:12). He specifically showed me my personal influence with women and the role I had in leading by example and by sharing my testimony. The life I’ve lead wouldn’t mean much to those around me if I never had the experiences that other women have had. The same goes for you, Queen. God has seen your ups and your downs. And He sees that you are STILL patiently enduring.
You may not know exactly how you’re supposed to make your mark in the world just yet, but God is whispering to you now, “be patient.” You may not know why your life has turned out the way it has and why you had to endure the things you have, but God is whispering right now, “be patient.” You may be asking yourself questions such as: “when am I gonna get my big break? When will God heal my womb so I can bear a child? When will God bless me with a husband? Why do other women get to have this and I don’t? When will I get to have financial freedom? When will I get that dream house I’ve always wanted? When will I be delivered from my family? When will God bless me with some real friends?” The list could go on and on and on. We as women have a hard time understanding God’s timing because we are such emotional creatures. We live in the hope and belief that if we want it we should have it NOW. Right? WRONG!!! Lol (but in the most respectful way though of course sis). You have to understand that God’s ways are above our ways and His timing is different than ours. In fact, the scripture Isaiah 55:8-9 NLT says, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” With this in mind, why on earth would you want things your way and not His? I’m also preaching to myself on this one because I recently completely surrendered my will to heed to His (obviously my way sucked as it turns out). I speak from experience when I say that God’s way is way more beautiful, challenging, and rewarding. His path that He has set for you is hard to travel because it’s something new as you learn to trust that He won’t lead you astray. This process will require you to lean on your patience.
Once we can accept the fact that God has a specific path for each of us and that each blessing is tied to a certain season for a certain reason which is timing, we will be way better off. As I look back over my life and ponder the seasons of my blessings, I realize that if God moved in my timing and blessed me out of season, my blessings that followed might not have come at all. Read that again. Sometimes, your blessings are connected to your growth, and that’s why we need patience. God will not bless you out of season if you’re not ready for it. It simply will not happen. In fact, if we were to learn the lessons of patience and trust in God’s path for our lives, we may even speed the process up and the floodgates of blessing would overflow over us (speaking from experience once again).
Things begin to shift when you’re patient. The world calls us to speed through life and hurry up and die. Honestly….. The world teaches us to get rich as fast as we can, step on every head to get there, take pride in being better than everyone else, covet what others have, have a white picket fence family with a big house, grow old doing the same thing, and die. This world feeds off of instant gratification hence the word “insta”gram. We want what we want, and we want it now. But God doesn’t want that for us, He is calling us to slow down. He literally took me through a season where He had to teach me this principal. He taught me patience His way because Lord knows my life was on a fast track with no break in sight. He told me that He didn’t call me to add all these tasks to my day to feel accomplished, He simply called me to rest in Him. It was odd for a while and for so long I felt guilty for not having a billion things on my to do list for the day. He is calling you to allow Him to redefine what patience and rest is in your life. What the world calls good is foolish to God. Take God’s path to patience sis, and thank me later.
